The most life changing experience was becoming a mother when I was 16 & 18. Growing up in poverty with addict parents, I was determined to become one of the 2% who obtain a college education & graduation with a bachelor's degree. During my senior year of college at the fepths of my addiction i was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes & began my insulin shot regimen. I later found recovery & have been clean for 11 1/2 years now. Sometimes I fear there is noone like me out there? Am I truly one of the indistinguishable percentage whom have made it through???
