I feel more and more that Mark is getting tired of all these hateful comments, especially in the last few videos—people saying the interviewee is lying, what they are saying is full of BS, or criticizing their lifestyles, etc.
When I say hateful comments, I don't mean level-headed opinions, but straight-up accusations, mocking, etc.
Do I also feel some type of way about some of these videos? Yes. Do I spend my energy typing it out under the guise of anonymity towards people who have their stories (however true) told in front of a public audience with their faces? Absolutely not!
I fully understand why Mark is considering shutting off the comments because it's going to get more and more difficult to have these people come to the interviews.
This channel has NEVER been about sharing stories of people who have it all together. It's always been about sharing all facets of humanity, whether it's ugly or downright repelling.
These people are all, in some capacity, victims/survivors of their life circumstances. There never is a "perfect" version of that. We are all meant to be messy. You and me, all of us.
Some of these people, well at least the majority, have not fully processed their traumas and do not possess full self-awareness of their past and current choices. And that's OK! Let them talk to us from where they are.
100% agree!
