Who else thinks that Florida would be a great location for the channel?! I know that Mark has done several Florida projects and there have already been posts about more Florida requests on this forum, but i wanted to speak about a few specific areas in Florida, where I think Mark would find many interesting projects. As a long-term Florida resident, its's a very unique state, because Florida's large metropolitan areas all still have seedy red-light districts, stuck in a seedy 70s-era time capsule. Especially in Tampa along Nebraska Ave, Dale Mabry Hwy, Adamo drive or Drew Park, there's still a high density of strip clubs, swingers clubs, XXX Movie theaters/peep shows, gay bath houses and low end motels; these areas are hot spots for the inevitable underbelly of society and most cities don't really have red light districts like this anymore. Sure every city has their skid rows, low income neighborhoods and areas where sex work is very prevalent; but they're no longer neon adult playgrounds of the night. Orlando's Orange Blossom Trail is also still like this, though the adult entertainment businesses in the area have been on the decline since the 2000s; although there's still quite a few. Moving on to South Florida, there's Dixie Highway in Palm Beach County and Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, though Biscayne has been cleaning up since the mid-80s, it still has remnants of it's neon red light heyday. Florida's larger metro areas may not be experiencing as many social problems as LA, San Francisco, Seattle or Portland, but there's a thriving retro seedy element in Florida that has been disappearing across North America for years now. LA's Skid Row or Figueroa and SF's Tenderloin, are undoubtedly ground zero for North America's underbelly, though they're not exactly the neon red light districts of the seedy 1970s. What do you guys think? I know that there are plenty of other great potential locations for the channel.
